All of these shots need extra work done on animation to make Oogie's character seem seamless and organic. I am happy with my lighting and camera choices now, although they are hard to see through playblasts as this is a very low representation of the final outcome

BDM206 Blog research French Newwave Cinema
Breathless
Director: Jean-Luc Goddard
I enjoyed watching the movie Breathless as it had a certain glamorous, Hollywood feel to it. The black and white film touched on many different issues, I enjoyed the characters as they seemed to have genuine human problems. New Wave cinema was notorious for themes of authority and romantic commitments and was heavily influenced by Italian Neorealism. Breathless is a good example of French New Wave cinema as the scenes were shot on location, and techniques such as natural lighting and extended shots were used throughout the film. French New-wave cinema influenced contemporary American films such as Pulp Fiction.
